Maths in Wonderland
Twickenham Primary School in Kingstanding, Birmingham, have found an innovative way to teach students maths. Led by Tom Baker of Loaf Social Enterprise the Maths in Wonderland project combines learning sums, measurements and calculations with cooking and food growing activities. In true Alice in Wonderland style, the activities include picking elderflowers to make Drink Me Potion and growing strawberries to make Queen of Hearts Jam Tarts. The ten week project, run in association with Bright Space, culminated in a Mad Hatters Tea Party to celebrate what the class had achieved.
