Cllr Salma Yaqoob & Friends of the Earth
In Town Without My Car Day
On In Town Without My Car Day Councillor Salma Yaqoob , one of Birmingham Post’s Power 50, was challenged by Birmingham Friends of the Earth to go to work without her car.
Councillor Salma Yaqoob, is a leading figure in the Respect Party and Councillor for the Sparkbrook ward of Birmingham. Her influence goes far beyond the city where she is a leading voice in the national political arena on a range of issues including the anti-war movement and the role of Muslims, and Muslim women in post 9/11 Britain.
